    Hi there,
I am looking at making my very own solid gold diamond ring, buying the ring setting, and the loose diamond separately and setting them together myself.

I have done other settings before, but I want this to be as high quality as I can make it.

What adhesive should I use to set the diamond into the 18ct gold ring setting?
I’ve come across one type of adhesive that seems popular, and its quite cheap, but would it be good enough to really hold the diamond in place?
Its called Diamond Glaze Pendant Sealer.
It is advertised as being used to set diamonds into a setting.

I just read that adhesive is not really needed, if you can manipulate the prongs properly to hold the diamond in place.

I have never worked with gold before, so I’m not sure what tools would be best, to create a good fit for the diamond.

Here is a link to the gold ring I am thinking of buying.
Could someone suggest some specific tools that I should use to make this gold setting fit the diamond?

I have a few loose diamonds (.25 carat) that were my grandma’s and I just want one solitaire ring, so I was wondering if I can trade in my loose diamonds for credit toward a solitaire. What would be a reasonable value for the diamonds? They’re round cut and .25 carat and I have three of them. I’m thinking $900 for all 3, since they’re going for around $500 a piece online right now.

Looking to buy a loose diamond from the internet. What website will be the best place to buy a diamond at a discounted price. Retail stores are just too expensive and they have such a high markup and I was wondering what website would give me a better deal.

The diamond is for an engagement ring.

Again my husband and I are trying to start a very small jewelry boutique in Montana. I have tried a LOT of wholesale places to buy my diamonds from, but after checking their prices, they aren’t truly wholesale. I would like to know where e-bay sellers buy their loose diamonds from. Lots of them are nice diamonds and quite reasonable, but here again, I can’t buy from e-bay to re-sell as the cost would be too high. Please, does anyone know some of the places that e-bay sellers are buying their loose diamonds from? I need help fast!
