I am a sophomore in college. I want to gear my education toward a career that involves higher mathematics, finance (not accounting), and maybe even market analysis. I am still deciding what exactly I want to do, but I have interest in these subjects. I also think it would be beneficial for me to learn a programming language. Especially in this day and age. What programming language is suitable for someone like me? I studied a wee bit of Java in high school but struggled.

    Please advise.

What will be the different of my career if I had a Economics degree or a Finance degree?
    Actually I have 2 choices,
    1.) Banking and Finance
    2.) Mathematics and Economics

My main concern is that I heard someone said that it is difficult to find a job with a Economic degree, and they said Finance degree is more employable.

    Thanks a lot

I’m trying to write a report about student financing and, while it’s easy enough gathering basic info,I’d be really grateful if anybody could tell me what they think and why. especially if you’ve already studied before you had to pay for tuition and can tell me how having to work while studying and leaving in such debt affects your studies. Thanks.

I really want to go to college, but I can only afford a community college. The nearest community college is about 45 minutes from where I live. The problem is that I don’t have a car and my parents work all day, so nobody can take me. We have no public transportation around here either. Is my situation completely hopeless? Do you have any ideas on what I can do? Someone help. Thank you.

*At first I was going to minor in Spanish since I live in SoCal, and I’ve been taking it since HS. But it’s not my favorite thing.

*Then I realized I could Visual & Performing Arts. I love to draw and stuff, and I haven’t done any artsy stuff in a while. But it’s not the most useful thing to do or have.

*Now I’ve been reading and some people say to do Criminology, which is sort of interesting to me since I might want to go to the FBI, or some forensic accounting type thing.

*I liked the basic Macro and Micro Econ classes, but I’m not sure if I want to continue that. (And I’d have to take another math class, which I won’t be looking forward to.)

I don’t plan on double majoring, that’s way too much. I’m not sure if I can minor in Finance, since Accounting and Finance are both under Business Administration at my university. I really want to minor since it’s usually less than 20 units and it looks good (or so I’ve heard).

So basically it’s what I’m interested in versus usefulness.

    What do you guys think?

I’m not going to go to community college, but everyone is telling me that I can’t start earning a degree until I do my “basics”, so what if I go straight to Baylor, don’t pick a major but do my basics, then pick a major, would that I mean I’m going to be there for six years since I want a bachelors? Or can I do the basics and earn my bachelors at the same time? I’m so confused and my parents won’t answer my questions!

Hi guys, we have a product that we are looking to market to marketing executives that are trying to sell to CFOs.

Any idea what they read, which publications – what magazines / newspapers, what blogs, what are the top newsletters to which they subscribe?

I need not just generic media for B2B marketers, but to those who sell to corporate finance.

    Thank you.

Buisness Management vs Accounting which one do I chose to go with what is the difference?

Would you get the Same job variety as you do with one or the other?
YTI Offers both of them for 21 Months?

    Or

Community Collge for two years Offers only Buisness Management

Do you have to have Prior education besides HighSchoolDiploma/GED before entering a Tech school like YTI are you required general courses or any college courses before entering?

In your own Opinion would this be a good career path to take?

    Hey guys,

I’m not talking about fighter pilots necessarily, just any type of pilot in the Air Force. My mom told me that I need pretty much straight A’s and B’s to be a pilot.

    Is this true?

    Thanks.

P.S. Of course I know you can’t pilot straight out of high school!
