I have just were built with a bill for £300 to pay for re-registration for the next year (2012/13) to my degree when i skipped some work this past year. I can not afford it, I did not think there’d be costs until the coming year. Will student finance have the ability to combine it with my debt?

Would a professor grade less roughly for any handicapped (learning-disabled) student compared to a normal student? Exactly what do everyone think?

Will I still need affect student finance for any maintenance loan or will the nhs produce this?

And do nhs bursaries need to be paid back whenever you qualify (just like a tuition loan)?

    I am confused lol

I am 32 soon to be 33. I want to go back to college? I was wondering what are names of Colleges or universities that have great programs for learning disabled students?

I receive middle-rate care component of DLA for Asperger’s syndrome and other learning difficulties. Also I have a disabled students grant of around £6000 per year to cover costs of a mentor, note-taker and laptop. I’m going to university in september and wondered if anyone knew whether I can get some support with the costs of accomodation or whether this is solely for people with a disability affecting their mobility.

(Mainly a question for UK answerers)

I already have a degree in Tourism Management but its not what I really want to do…I got a grant and loan from student finance to fund my students. I loved every minute of Uni but would love to study something which will be more useful to me in the future and give me more security.

I am planning on studying Psychology at Goldsmiths its a four year degree course including a foundation course. I am pregnant at the moment and plan to study maybe september 2008 or 2009. I know that they dont provide grants for second first degrees but I was just wonderin if I didnt mention that I already have a degree would they be able to find out?…I have a different address and I did not go through UCAS for the first one either.

Advice would be really appreciated…I will be giving up work when the baby arrives and will probably claim benefits until I find another job or course will this make any difference to my situation?

I have a set payment plan with Student Finance to pay back a certain amount of money per month, but I’m still a student at a new university and I barely have enough money to eat, let alone pay them back. Will they let me skip a few months and continue paying back in a few months, without the payments stacking up and accumulating?

My on-line account says that my application is currently being processed, it’s said this for about 5 days now.. How long does it take approx to hear from student finance?

I’m very sorry if there is an answer out there (i.e. on the student finance website) but after searching and reading everything and almost drowning in useless information, I am non the wiser.

My mother works part time, and is also a recipient of income support. Would it only be her taxable earned income which is taken into account, or also her income support?

My father is disabled and receives Disability living allowance. Is this taken into account when I’m calculating my parents income? I just really don’t want to mess this up, or I may be getting more than I’m entitled to or less.

Would it be unethical of me, were I to buy my own airplane and begin instructing in it at an airport close to where I currently work as a CFI?

My Maintenance grant and loan was supposed to go into my account on Thursday! I’ve got to pay halls do I have to wait 5 days for it to clear or should it have gone in immediately!
As always Student Finance cannot be contacted and their website provides no help at all!!

For example, if I had to repeat a year would student finance decline me of finance in the future? Would they give me the full maintenance grant to repeat the year or would they maybe not support me for his year and then support me the next, upon successful completion of my second year of the programme?

Student finance have to take in household income but he earns 10x as much as my mum which leaves me with almost no loan and he wont help me financially throughout uni. Is there anyway around this? Otherwise i cant go.

Do I need to send in evidence for Student Finance if I am in second year? In my first year, I had to send in evidence and it was approved, do I need to do it for year 2?

The college say its persistent or habitual misconduct but never reported it to campus police, never got a writen notice, or reprimand. The misconduct never states date/time of this incident(s). I have to have a response to have a hearing in five (5) days and says students can only have counsel in expulsion hearing. I fear of being blind-sided by their complexity of their policies. Being a disable student that is registered with the department that deals with disable students, can I have representation or counsel ? My disable student center does not deal with these issues, only accomadations.

I am looking at Cal State colleges and have narrowed it down to mostly Sonoma, Monterey Bay, Humboldt, and East Bay, but I have High Functioning Autism. It does not usually interfere too much, however I do think it is enough of one for me to focus on finding a college with a Disabled Student Service. Thank you.
