I looked to ascertain if it may be unplugged, but it features a special type of chord I cant just unplug. Would coca cola go away free of charge, could I market it, or must i pay to be removed.

How can you think we’ll take advantage of snack machines that accept credits?

What is your opinion the cost from the new snack machine ought to be?

How does one start marketing it?

When others steal your concept of the charge card snack machine, how would you react to help keep customers curiosity about yours?

I am starting a vending machine business. I am writing up a proposal for my home owners association to ask if I can put in a vending machine in the pool area. This vending machine will get a lot of action in the summer months. When it is colder weather I imagine we will have less traffic; we will get the kids from the nearby school and people going to the gym. Should I offer them a percentage of my profit or a monthly fixed amount? If a fixed amount, how much?

I have done a little research on this and most everything seems simple. I was just wondering if you need a license or a company’s permission to use a machine that you bought with their logo on it. For example, do i need anything besides the owners permission to put a pepsi vending machine in front of his store?

Any information or stories will be greatly appreciated!

I guess I am getting old! Back when I went to the movies years ago, the conventional food was the traditional popcorn and candy counter! Since I now watch all of my movies either buy buying or renting them on DVD or VOD on cable with my own food in hand, I wanted to ask, what kinds of food can you buy at the movies today that differs from the conventional popcorn and candy that my generation grew up with?

When I was young I read a book about two siblings, a boy and a girl, that ran away from home. They ended up living in a mall and they would wonder around until closing time; they would hide in the bathrooms until everyone was gone. They took baths in the fountain and gathered money from it to buy food and drinks from vending machines. There was also a movie based on the book. This was in the mid 1970’s.

  47. Jarred March 24, 2013 at 3:57 am #

This is not a math question, not an inflation & economy question, it’s your opinion on how you evaluate your own spending.

    In my case :
    25 cents=gallon of drinking water
    40 cents=postage stamp
    $1=Double Cheeseburger @McD
    $3=gallon of gas
    $5=used DVD or hour wage
    $10=any piece of clothing

This said, a dollar at the vending machine is TOO MUCH
A dollar for a pocket sized can of mints is TOO MUCH
Two dollars for an energy drink is TOO MUCH (try 99cent stores)
A book for $15-20 is TOO MUCH.

So I want to know your opinion as to what you consider the most bang for your buck on a regular basis. These questions may help you give your answer
    * If you were to lose all your possessions and found a few bucks, what’s your priority to buy?
    * How much do you make and what portion of it is spent on something other than food and shelter?

SO AGAIN, how much is a dollar worth to you? What’s the best you can get for the same dollar? What would you consider “too much” for something?

    Will this win her heart?

A couple years back they started installing those DVD rental/vending machines at all my local McDonald’s called Red Box. Now I’m seeing them pop up more and more at a lot of local stores. I personally love them. I mean where else can you pick up a video for $1 for a night? I was wondering how many of you use them and what do you think? On a side note I heard Blockbuster Video is soon to release there own version of these machines after they unsuccessfully tried to buy Red Box out.

I have a bad copy of a video game and was thinking of renting it at Block Buster and placing the game in the case and eturning it saying it’s defective. Only flaw I can think of though is if they put a mark or something to show that the game is theirs? Do they or is it just a plain disc no different from purchase?

Would I have better luck buying a used copy at Gamestop, swapping the disc then returning it for it being bad and getting money back? Ideas?

I’m starting a small vending machine business up within the next couple of months and will soon be getting my business registered with HM Revenue and customs, so it will be legitimate.

Personally, I don’t think insurance is necessary – would this be a compulsory thing to get? In the event my machine got damaged or vandalised, I’d resolve the problem off my own back.

What do you think of them? Personally I think they are a bad idea. I think there should only be mental hospitals for people with these problems. Everyone I’ve ever known to go in a ward has come out more messed up than they were when they went there. In contrast, everyone I know who has gone to an institution that deals exclusively with mental problems has come out a lot better off.

What are your thoughts on this matter?

Any suggestions oh how to make it so nobody will be able to carry them off easily?

I was getting a drink from the vending machine when an additional 3 drinks were given. Is this stealing? I’ve gotten at most 1 free drink before, but never 3. Would it be ridiculous to give the drinks to security, or am I just worried for nothing. This just does not feel right. I don’t know what is considered appropriate.
*Spoke to a security guard who says it happens all the time and to basically not worry; however, I did find the appropriate ppl to report this to (cafeteria) and they are closed. Thanks for the advice!

I have enquired about a vending machine route and have found a very promising offer. However the company promises to have a contracted place for my machine but will not tell me when and where until I wire them my payment. I am unsure to start with and I am probably just looking for a very good excuse not to do this anyway. Please educate me.

In terms of business model, where does the revenue flow to and from?
    – Do corporate offices typically pay vending machine operators to put in and service machines or do operators pay corporate offices? How willing are offices usually to having machines put in? What are decision criteria used in selecting machines?
    – Do offices ever “buy” the machines? Or it is usually rented?

I’ve got a client who’s trying to create a cashless vending machine for a corporate environment. Using the cell network is too expensive and wireless is unreliable. We’d prefer to hardwire into an existing network in order to send encrypted data over the internet (to verify credit cards). Any advice on how this could/should be done?

These are the movies boxes that are usually found outside of Speedway where people can rent movies using debit or credit cards. Not to be confused with Redbox. Blockbuster, who were scratching for business decided to compete with Netflix and Redbox by copying their ideas

How long do you have to wait before you start profiting? Do you have to pay to put it onto a certain location? Anything that can be beneficial, please tell me. Thanks A Lot.

If i did buy it I would place it somewhere in Oviedo/Wintersprings FL area. I need to know how much money I could make on a Red Bull vending machine in Oviedo/Wintersprings FL.

Oftentimes, a store cashier may check if a bill is counterfeit by marking it with a special marker, putting it up against a light, and other sorts of methods.

However, if someone uses counterfeit bills in vending machines, how will the vending machine know, and what can IT do to notify the police? Or will counterfeit-users have free reign over the vending machines and freely cheat them out? And do they?

I know of Akihabara although I have never been there so tell me some good, decently priced shops. ( I live in Australia which is region 4 so any technology would have to work here)

I am 11 stone and i want to lose a bit of weight, i am not really fat just a bit chubby.I just want to know how to lose body fat, no pills, no ridiculous diets and not working out 24/7.

    I want to know :

What I need to cut down on eg. Fats, carbs or sugars?
What is the best exercise to lose fat at home with no equipment ?
How long it will take to see results?

I have done some googling but I just get bombarded with ads saying “learn the secret to lose fat” and it just wants you to buy their DVD programme. I don’t want to spend money or use pills, I just want straight up honest answers from experts or people who have achieved weight loss.

So I got one of those fun voodoo dolls from the vending machine and I was kinda disappointed that it didn’t come with a paper saying what it represented and I couldn’t find the meaning of it anywhere online. It’s all yellow, it has a long light green sleeveless coat and black eyes that have white bunny ear looking things covering the eyes. It’s also looking mostly to it’s right and has it’s right arm up and the other down.

Just got a cigarette vending machine for my bar. Its set at $2.00 (I wish I could buy cigarettes wholesale for that), trying to set it to $5.

I have tried looking everywhere but there is no information or instruction manuals online. It is some mechanical mechanism but I have no idea how to change it.

Can you rent any movie from Redbox? If so, how does that work? I always thought those DVD rental booths were like vending machines and you only had a specific selection of movies to rent.
