When residing abroad, the social and political climate in the nation is not constantly stable. I’m a US citizen. It’s always been my dream to live and work abroad. I just found out that my military health benefits & dental insurance won’t extend beyond the common wealth’s/territories of the US. I can comfortably afford to pay for health & dental insurance out of my pocket. Does anyone in the UK deal with international health & dental insurance? I really could use some help in finding the right company. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I will be moving to the US next week and am shopping around for individual health insurance. I am shocked that all the companies I have tried to apply at so far require applicants to have lived in the United States for 1 or more years. How are immigrants supposed to get health insurance?

    Hi guys,

I’m going to Europe soon, and I need to know what the odds of my bags being robbed or me being pick-pocketed are. In particular, I want to know the odds of losing or having stolen my iPad. (I have a body wallet for passports, money, phone, etc). I want to know whether or not it would be safe to take it there, particularly France, Italy England and Istanbul. Also is there any company which provides international theft insurance for travel?

    Thanks heaps!

I’m from the US and will be travelling to SE Asia and wondering if I should buy international health insurance and what company is best. I have no current health insurance and am in great health. Thailand has very affordable medical care which might be affordable paying out of pocket even if something major happened there, but if I had to be flown back to the US for something medical related, I’d surely go bankrupt. Does anyone have any recommendations for international coverage or not?
