I was wondering if cosmetic dentistry could take a tooth from the back of your mouth (wisdom tooth) and fashion it into a front tooth instead of having an implant.

Also, how hard is it to be a cosmetic dentist and would you recommend it?

I have spaces between my teeth and a significant amount of bone loss due to periodontal disease. I am being told i will lose some teeth within the next few years and dental implants are not an option because of the bone loss and perio issues. One dentist recommended bonding, but another was against it because the teeth will shift. What other options do I have in cosmetic dentistry to get a better smile?

Okay, I’m 14 (I know it’s young) but I don’t have time to wait for braces. I need to get a perfect smile soon. I have a pretty good smileexcept I would like to replace four teeth. How old do you have to be to get cosmetic dentistry done and how much would it be?

    Thanks!

I’m in the National Guard, currently deployed, and I’m thinking about getting veneers when I get home. Does tricare prime cover cosmetic dentistry? If not, who does?

Is one necessarily better than the other? My regular dentist sent off to a lab to make a model of my teeth with crowns, and another one says he does that work up himself whose main practice is cosmetic dentistry.

I dont know which is a superior method.

I dont know if this is another way to judge or not, but my regular dentist’s office is always really busy and the cosmetic one wasnt only one person in there when I went. He spent almost an hour talking to me about it, where my regular dentist is really busy and doesnt spend a lot of time explaining it but you can write him an email.

Also at my regular dentist I had my 2 cavities filled and when I was at this cosmetic one he said I had several. I dont know who to believe on that.

Questions thoughts comments? I just want to make sure I have the right dentist do the crowns in the front of my mouth.
Edit: my regular dentist did talk to me and let me ask questions he just didnt stay there and tell me how teeth are supposed to look and the measuring of the gaps between my teeth, and tons of extra details like the cosmetic dentist did.

The cosmetic dentist did take an x-ray. He showed me one that was on a tooth I want crowned anyways. When he was in my mouth giving the details of my teeth to his assistant he looked and said he saw many and named them out as he was going.

My teeth are in good shape with the exception that I have a approx. 1/4 inch gap in my upper 2 front teeth. I want to have cosmetic dentistry done, but I am a little nervous about the durability over time, and the after product. Any free dental advise would be helpful.

A dentist who is a president of some ACADEMY of COSMETIC DENTISTRY. She did some work on my teeth to improve my smile but she removed alot of my teeth structure and it affects my life(when eating & speaking). She also hide information from me so I can’t use models to discuss with other dentist for second opinion. The model she gave me doesn’t match to the actual teeth structure I’ve have rite now as couple of dentist thinks.

I’m so upset and I think she shouldn’t be the president. I want to send emails to those dentist members about my treatment and about her.

Will I get in a law suit with this dentist if I really send those emails?

I don’t mean cosmetic dentistry. What I mean is there any way to make your smile look better through actual cosmetic surgery?
