Higher Threat AUTO INSURANCE: WHEN DO YOU Need IT?

Not all drivers are the same: some drive within speed limits and other individuals consider the highway to be a racetrack. Some drive meticulously, other folks rarely make use of blinkers and disregard any use of winter tires. This sort of activity poses a greater threat to all drivers on a road.

Insurance companies take into account higher-threat drivers these who are much more most likely to get into an accident according to statistics. There are many aspects that can indicate a driver is such a case e.g. age, driving/ticket background, etc. Extremely usually insurers will think about somebody to be a high-danger driver who fits to the following profile:

2 at fault-accidents in the last 10 years or,
2 or 3 tickets in the final years

Auto insurance itself is not low cost in Canada, with Ontario possessing the highest price tag, an common of $153/month. Being a risky driver can result in far more pricey insurance premiums.

Higher Threat Auto INSURANCE PREMIUMS: WHAT Must I Anticipate?

Auto insurance fees vary significantly across Canada, based on the province. On average drivers with 2 or less violations in the last 3 years will spend ~25% a lot more than a person with out any violations. For instance Auto insurance drivers in Ontario with extensive auto insurance coverage (like liability, collision, comprehensive damage, and increased accident advantages) spend on average $150/month whereas those who have a highest of 2 violations in the last 3 years need to have to consider an typical of $184/month meaning an enhance of 23% for the exact same coverage.

In numerous cases the premiums of “harmful” auto insurance drivers can be doubled or even tripled dependent on your driving history and other variables. Premiums also differ dependent on if a driver currently has insurance with a specific firm or applies for a new policy with another organization. Your current firm is more likely to just push you to the greater level of premiums if you grow to be a higher-threat situation. The specifications for a new policy are larger – insurers commonly do not like high-threat drivers leaving a limited option of companies for these who have bad driving records.

WHAT INSURANCE Organizations Offer you AUTO INSURANCE PROTECTION FOR SUCH DRIVERS

As soon as you fall into the category of high-danger driver, many companies will refuse to insure you, particularly if you choose to apply for a new policy at a various company. The businesses that will insure you will do so at a larger premium. There are also some insurance companies specializing in this variety of car insurance, known as specialty insurance companies. Here are some insurance businesses that provide insurance for higher-risk drivers:

Pafco
Jevco (Kingsway)
Coachman Insurance

There is also an organization named Facility Association which is “funded by the personal house and casualty insurance industry that makes insurance accessible to “larger threat” drivers who wouldn’t otherwise be capable to get insurance”. This association does not issue insurance policies but performs with certain insurance companies that concern policies and handle claims on its behalf.

Minimizing YOUR PREMIUMS AS A RISKY Vehicle DRIVER

You can grow to be a protected driver yet again, if you modify your driving behaviour and your danger profile improves. It requires 3 years for any tickets to come off your record. It takes longer to get rid of demerit points – here accidents will have an effect on your driving record for up to 6 years. Also if you have a history of not paying your auto insurance premiums, it can effect your capability to get a policy and possibly the price tag you have to spend.

We hope you will keep away from becoming a higher-danger driver: it is safer for everybody on the road and assists out your wallet too. Drive safely!

I have heard that “performance” modifications can void an car insurance policy. Is that this true? If that’s the case, what’s considered a void worthy mod?

I understand that my coverage is only going to switch the parts to stock. Also, I am thinking about the next: CAI, headers & exhaust, short shifter, large breaks, ECU programing. When my shocks are because of be changed i’ll most likely go ahead and take chance to ride lower.

I’m likely to sell my vehicle and cancel my car insurance. If I wish to rent a vehicle, shall we be held needed to purchase their rental vehicle insurance, since i have wouldn’t have other car insurance otherwise?

Basically use my Uncover card to book the vehicle, Uncover will give you me having a Collision Damage Waiver as high as $25,000. Would that count as insurance?

Also, what’s their greatest problem when visiting the united states and searching for car insurance, besides the language barrier?Would be the coverage similar, have they got a trust problem, etc..what will be the most useful factor an american insurance provider could do on their behalf?

    Interesting help.

I am using for car insurance by myself the very first time, I understand I want high-risk because I have had two minor accidents within the last couple of years. I am just wondering if anybody has any recommendations for high-risk insurance companies with decent or good rates?

My wife just got a new car and while registering it with our auto insurance company, I found out that we have $500 deductibles on both of our cars. Turns out we can save $86 per 6-month policy if we raise it to a $1000 deductible? Which is smarter to do?

Why do insurance companies buy pension funds from companies? How do they make money taking the pension plan off the company’s hand?

Does the company offering the pension plan pay anything to the insurance company to take the liability off their hands?

How is it legal for health insurance companies to discriminate against people with disabilities (I mean, medical disabilities), but other companies are not allowed to, like grocery stores are not allowed to? Or maybe it IS legal for other businesses to discriminate against people I am really just curious, that’s all. About the legal process. Health insurance companies kind of make me mad, because of this issue. I know I am expressing a political opinion, but I ask you not to troll. If you have a different opinnion thatn me, you can argue for it, but please don’t start trollin.’

I want an insurance company that won’t invade our last bit of privacy – our DNA. Once they have your DNA they can make all kinds of determinations about you, health, personality, all kinds of things. Years ago reasearchers were willing to pay $5,000. US Dollars to get you to donate your very private – unique only to you dna to them. Now insurance companies get us to pay them to take it from us! Is anyone aware of a company to buy term life ins. without DNA sample?

I am curious how health insurance companies got such a “foothold” in the United States.

  12. Morgan March 22, 2013 at 2:57 am #

Health insurance companies fight health care providers daily to lower the costs.

Why would insurance companies want to have to pay higher costs?

Have you ever seen a hospital bill and what a health insurance company disallows and finally ends up paying? It’s a he’ll of a lot less than what the provider is trying to charge.
Whoo, saying health insurance companies are 100% to blame for the high cost of health care proves you have no idea what you are talking about.

I just [attempted to] informed myself on the the care reform. But it made me wonder if making these insurance companies make their plans more affordable will send them down the drain.
I only wonder this because of all the banks that died off earlier on. Idk why they went under either if you’d care to explain that as well.

I have been reading a lot of bad reviews for pet insurance companies and how they try not to reimburse you much for expensive proecedures. Any suggestions? Also, anyone know of any companies that do not make you pay the vet first?

  15. Kris March 23, 2013 at 12:49 am #

You are “insuring” against treatment for expensive conditions. Rates are determined by your history of health.

Insurance companies are not just banks that pay for everything. They play the odds which allows healthier people to pay smaller amounts than unhealthier people do.

If insurance companies have to pay for everything, regardless of the person, they will go out of business immediately.

Why don’t people understand this very simple concept?

It’s almost as if the government was going to require that every slot machine at a casino would produce a winning hand. Sure, it would be fun at the casino for a few hours, but by midnight it would be bankrupt and closed forever.

  16. Luann March 23, 2013 at 12:50 am #

Do you know Insurance companies tell you what doctors you can see and tell you what procedures the doctor can perform and can deny you coverage for any reason. Insurance companies are not in the Business of providing heath care they are in the Business of making profit for their CEO and stock holders. Why don’t you want a universal health care, it makes no sense.

I’m hearing more and more about positions with Insurance companies, where the base company is several states away but they hire someone to do local audits for their company, for example, someone living in South Carolina doing work for the company based out of Ohio. My question is, does anyone know where to find these positions? I’ve tried the basic jobsearch websites but they don’t typically seem to have positions like that listed.

The current administration has frozen our monthly SS payments for the next 2 years, but allows the insurance companies to raise their rates during the same time frame. Can anyone do the math? This is totally insane! I’ll listen to reasonable explanations.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 years. We are interested in going to couples counseling in order to work on any issues we have before moving forward. We both have health insurance but with two separate insurance companies. Do therapists typically bill both insurances (meaning we need to find someone that accepts both)? Is the therapy billed differently because its more than one person being serviced, meaning that couples therapy has to be specifically covered by our insurance companies? Any information would be great, thanks!

What reputable health insurance companies are out there
My mom doesn’t have health insurance and my job doesn’t give insurance to family members.

I would like to pay monthly to a health insurance company so my mom could get health check up when she needs it.

Do you know any health insurance companies that can accept low monthly payments since I don’t get paid that much?

My 2000 camaro was hit the other night. They think it might be a total lose because of the frame being bent. I wanted to know if insurance companies used the Kelly blue book value or the NADA Value for the check they give you. If any knows how much he could get that would help to.

How can anyone be comfortable with insurance companies having the right to turn you down at a time when they are needed the most. How would you feel if you, your spouse or child were turned down because of a preexisting condition? How do you feel about insurance companies priorities, number one looking for ways to turn you down as appose to looking for ways to helping you.
How do you feel that the almighty dollar is their main priority and not you health.

Okay, so I didn’t know how to word this question, but pretty much this is it: You know how apartments don’t allow German Shepherd Dogs, well come to find out it’s because the insurance companies of that particular apartment community think them to be a liability and they don’t do well in community life…So I think that should be put on each individual dog, not as a group…So my question is, who do I contact with my review on how this is true? And what can I do if anything at all?

  30. Collene March 25, 2013 at 8:11 pm #

I would appreciate if anyone at all could lead me to articles, sites, etc. that would provide information on the following question: How are insurance companies and the Pentagon reacting to the impact of global warming?

I always hear about how these two groups hate each other, and my own lawyer talks like he hates insurance companies more than anything in the world. But I can’t help thinking, what’s the real relationship? Are these two groups genuinely opposed to one another, or is it just some mutually-profitable arrangement? Is all the animosity a sham? Anyone who works for a big insurance company or who is or works for a personal injury lawyer, I’d love to read your answers!

I recently got my claim denied from the insurance company that covers the man who hit my vehicle. I filed a claim today with my insurance company and they determined that the man was, indeed, at fault. My claim adjuster said that the next step was for the insurance companies to battle it out. I was just wondering what happens when 2 insurance companies battle it out and what happens afterwards.

In the Obama Health care law ( now upheld) it has something that says the insurance companies must refund some of the profit money that used for advertising and administrative costs to buyers of insurance this year because it was over what is allowed by the government.

How will that money be sent if you pay part of your premium and employer pays part? Will employer be allowed to keep all of it?

If a person filed a claim for theft, burglary, or anything of the sort, how do the insurance companies know if they’re lying or not? Even if people provide receipts or pictures, do they go through a process to make sure that the item was purchased by that person? You also have the right to black out any personal information, that way your credit card information will be secure. So what do insurance companies have to work with? If someone’s crafty enough, they can forge receipts, take fake pictures, or find some way to obtain owner’s manuals to provide fake proof.

  38. Catarina March 27, 2013 at 9:32 pm #

Do they have the right to look into what other insurance companies you’ve been with and what you had done on those companies? Also does a doctor/specialist (orthopedic, family doctor, other specialists, etc) know how long you will been on insurance, or have the right to know. Can they look into your past medical bills?

I understand that insurance companies use credit scores for this purpose, but I have been unable to get them to tell me which credit scores result in a specific numeric rating. Since the price of my insurance policy is tied to this information, I believe this information should be made available to consumers.

  41. Loura March 29, 2013 at 12:11 am #

Insurance companies don’t want to insure people WHO ACTUALLY USE THEIR SERVICE because IT COSTS THEM MONEY. Their ideal customer would be someone who NEVER GETS SICK. Thats why they drop people with long or expensive treatments.

If you don’t trust the Government, then why do you drive on the roads it makes or the wars it fights or
the drivers license it gives you? OR pay your taxes?

The problem is that, without the mandate, insurance companies won’t cover people with pre-existing conditions. Otherwise, people will just wait until they get sick to buy insurance.

So you have to create a system where everyone is insured — a mandate.

OK, if you don’t like the mandate, how would you get insurance companies to provide affordable insurance to people with pre-existing conditions without a requirement for everyone to have insurance

Your solution has to cover the situation where a person gets laid off, wants to start their own business, and needs to buy affordable individual coverage (not group coverage) for themselves and their family.

    You have 30 minutes. Begin….now.
“Affordable” Median income in the US is about $45,000.
Lenny — thoughtful answer. I see challenges in drawing the line around the condition and other conditions, but it’s a start.
Primo — you’re not answering the question I asked. I’m not debating the constitutionality (although 2 of the 3 rulings favor the mandate), I’m asking for an alternative that will address the issue of coverage for pre-existing conditions.
Jay — I don’t see how this will work. No insurance company is going to accept paying $100,000 in hospital bills in exchange for $10,000 in back premiums.
    “gws35” — HIPAA Title I doesn’t address my scenario.

Looking to become a mental helth practicioner, but I want to get a license (degree) which would allow for insurance companies to cover the patients I’d be seeing.
I don’t want my future clients to pay out of pocket.
Which degrees or licenses are insurance companies willing to cover? I know they cover Phd’s and LCSW’s, which other type of practicioners do they cover?

This is why health care is expensive, insurance companies making huge profits at the expense of the sick. Regulate the industry to bring the cost down.

As far as I know, many insurance companies are not licenced in New York state. If they are, I think there are separate companies set up to serve New York residents. There must be a reason for this.

I’m just curious. Like if you have lung cancer do to excess smoking(just an example), will the health insurance companies leave him to die because of his lack of income and his bad health? Please answer this and the above question as best as you can because I think this world is cruel!

My friend said that all the insurance companies would just move to South Dakota, because that is the state with the weakest consumer protection laws, and then they could sell insurance nationwide and ignore the laws of the other 49 states.

    How true is that?

After the disaster in Japan, I read somewhere that the insurance companies have to pay somewhere between 14 to 33 billion dollars to Japanese citizens.

I’m sure they’ll cough up the money, but I’m curious, what happens when an insurance company has not enough money to pay? Are there some rules and regulations in place so that the companies can’t insure more than they can afford to pay?

With all the attention on the U.S. Health Care System (or lack thereof), there’s something I can’t quite wrap my head around. If the greedy insurance companies sole aim is to deny coverage to folks and/or once covered, deny claims on a regular basis, how do doctors make their money? And hospitals?

The high costs originate with the health care providers.

Insurance companies actually fight with providers to keep costs down as much as possible. Why would the insurance companies want health care costs to be more expensive?

Do Liberals know the difference between health care providers and health insurance companies? If so why do you never hear them complain about what providers are charging in the first place?

The following is a statement just made here on YA. Can anyone make any sense out of this comment? The insurance companies simply pass on costs to consumers.

“Everyone will have access to affordable health care insurance regardless of any preexisting condition. This will take the burden of the uninsured off the tax payer and place it on the insurance companies who have been raping the people for years.”

Just wondering,, I work in an insurance company and I have been assigned to develop the method of receiving payments from Clients, agents collect the amounts of premiums from clients and then they deliver them to our accountants to enter the Official Receipts in the system and then close the transaction. Our concern is that we need to develop the Receipts system and systemize the process, instead of hand-writing the Receipts we want to enter the receipt through a device.

My question is how other insurance companies collect & proof the payments made by clients ?
FYI, we use Oracle ERP system.

I am interested in starting some type of insurance company for pre-paid legal representation. There are plenty of pre-paid legal services / insurance companies that assist in giving Leal advice but none that actually provide legal representation in court proceedings. A lot of these prepaid legal services / insurance companies that assist in giving Leal advice give a discount on legal representation but is not an actual plan for that reason. How can I start a company or a program that provides this? I want it to work like a health insurance plan instead of having network of doctors there would be a network of lawyers that are broken down into categories, such as family lawyers, divorce lawyers, criminal, person injury lawyers, ect. I would create plans that insurer’s could choose from based on there on personal legal needs and wants. How could I do this? I am in Virginia.

  62. Gil April 3, 2013 at 7:03 pm #

Obviously anyone that has had auto insurance and has had a claim knows this can be quite difficult. In fact, the running joke in insurance companies is the only time you don’t have insurance is during claims time. What should be done in Congress to force these insurance companies (which have thousands of complaints of wronging clients) to actually pay the claims?

  63. Mark April 3, 2013 at 11:06 pm #

My friend who is an MBA said that if this were implemented, all the insurance companies would just move to South Dakota, because they have the weakest laws, and then they would be able to sell insurance to everyone and ignore all the other states’ laws. Is that true?

What do insurance companies do if they decide to replace furniture i.e. Persian rugs rather than repair them (or if they deem them irreparable or not worth repairing)?

Do they just bin them or do they auction them or give them back to the claimant?
    ***edit***

Is there a way to contact the companies to see about buying items off them – I work for a Persian rug company and many of the rugs claimed on could be restored to a decent level – seems like an awful waste for them to be just thrown away.

I have a product that would tailor to the commercial side of insurance. More specifically companies with fleet vehicles. I want to talk to insurance companies to see if their customers equip their fleets with my product that they would the offer them a discount. That would help me get sales, help the insurance company have their customers carrying a safety device, and save the fleet owners money. Who in an insurance agency would I talk to for instance Liberty Mutual?

I’m interested in purchasing cheap parts bikes directly from the insurance companies after a wreck. I am mostly interested in Harleys and I don’t have any interest in these gimmicky websites where you pay a fee and there are not a lot of bikes. I’ve looked at ebay but these are usually bikes being sold from the “person” who bought it from the insurance company (ie premium). There are some public auto auctions, but these are usually only limited to dealers. But maybe that is my only choice?

I posted my resume on careerbuilder a couple months ago and insurance companies keep emailing me about job opportunities. I only have scientific background, no sales. What is up with this?
