I currently a dual major student in pre medical biology and finance and I may get an economics degree because it would take me only a semester longer when I finish my finance degree. I am interested in business and medicine but my passion is in politics. I have been fascinated with U.S. history and the economics since second grade. I really want to pursue a career in politics and I know a law degree is very helpful but I am not interested in becoming a lawyer, though studying law would be interesting. What other career options are available with a law degree?

I want one in business/business admin and finance (though I care more about finance). I would like to pursue a career in finance when I’m older. How much extra work is it going to be to get a double major, with a masters degree in both areas? Will I still have free time and stuff?

To get a relative view, I am currently number 2 in my class of 450
students. I take all honors classes and maintain A’s or A+’s in each.

    Thanks!

Right now I have a bachelors degree in electrical engineering and in the future I might leave engineering to pursue a business career in finance or accounting. How would I go about doing this? I plan to get a MBA so I think that would help with the switch. Do I need to get a bachelors in accounting or finance?

I was curious to see if there was anyone out there who has made a major career switch from engineering to business OR anyone that has made a major career switch that is unrelated (eg: finance to dentist) and how they went about it.

I am looking to pursue a career in the banking industry, however I am not sure where I should start. I have already attained a bachelor’s of BA in management. I am looking to get into more of the financial side of it. Like for example become a personal banker and later perhaps a financial adviser etc. I am not really too excited about the whole teller positions but I think it is the only way I will get my foot in the door. Also, because I plan to get my master’s in finance and this will definitely take up much of my time so I would probably have to quit my position as a teller to complete my master studies. Does anyone have any experience in this field preferably former tellers who have advanced in their banking careers. I am really undecided right now and unemployed. I really need some advice. Thanks, best answer gets full stars. Any websites article or anything are welcome. Please be thorough in you answer.

I’m a 3.7 GPA senior at CSU Fresno. I’m studying finance, but I’ve slowly realized that I may not have what it takes to compete in the industry. I lack passion for the field, and I just don’t see myself pursuing a career in finance. I just want to know anything and everything about working in finance. Is it competitive? Hours? Different types of jobs etc….

If I were to move there and learn the language, which country would be the best bet to pursue a career in international finance?

My plan is to move somewhere and teach English while I learn the language and complete an online prerequisite in finance, then finish my Masters in the UK, and return to whatever country I’ve built my network in to find a serious job.
