I am going to be living in Germany and will need to Insure my own vehicles.
The insurance company there will need proof of my good driving record, for example: accident free for 10+ years.

I was involved in accident in California which was not my fault. I went through my insurance and they declared it as total loss. There is no similar with equal or less mileage vehicle in used market except new vehicle. My insurance company is not paying me enough to buy similar or better car.
I want to use alternate method, repair the vehicle by my insurance and claim diminishing value from other insurance.
    How can I do that?

I’m interested in trying to find a vehicle like mine, but wrecked with a good engine and transmission and any other parts I can salvage to keep mine alive for a few more years . I would like to know in general how to search and bid on wrecked vehicles that have been totaled by insurance companies and are now up for bid. This would be kind of like what a wrecking yard must do to purchase vehicles for parts resale, or a used car dealer that would in turn repair the vehicle and resell with salvage title. Any leads on where to start would be appreciated

OK ill explain this as simple as possible. I rented a truck from a truck rental place and opted out of the insurance. I have vehicle insurance and so does anyone else who was going to be driving the truck. One of my friends was driving the truck and caused damage to the truck. He was not on the rental contract to be driving the truck. He does have his own vehicle insurance. My question is will his insurance company cover the damages? I was under the impression that in NYS, no matter whether or not you should be driving the rental truck your insurance will cover you. Thanks ahead of time.
